United are unwilling to increase their bid of £16million for the Argentina defender, with reports in Portugal suggesting Sporting may accept that amount if a United player goes in the opposite direction on loan.

Deportivo La Coruña are closing in on the loan signing of two players from English clubs, according to reports in Spain. The president of Atlético Madrid, Enrique Cerezo, has claimed in a radio interview that Germany forward Marco Reus had an offer to leave Borussia Dortmund for Manchester United this summer, but turned it down. When asked if Atlético had a chance of signing Reus, Cerezo told Onda Cera:
"He had an offer for a lot of money from Manchester United and he has not gone… we will not sign him with a lesser offer."
A FIFA committee has upheld the transfer ban placed on FC Barcelona, which means the La Liga giants will be unable to bring in new players between this September and January 2016. A FIFA statement read:

Hold kæft, hvor er jeg glad for, at Diego Costa ikke længere skal møde os i et derby. Og German Burgos. Haha kæft, hvor jeg nyder at opleve ham på skærmen. Man skulle ellers tro, bedømt ud fra det ydre, at Burgos var den mest skræmmende af ham og El Cholo. Jeg ser ham bare som en sød nutede stor bjørn, som jeg har får lyst til at kramme.
Jeg synes i øvrigt, at kampen i går forløb relativt fredeligt i forhold til de seneste gange vi har mødt dem. Der var lige Raul Garcia, men ellers synes jeg begge hold spillede fair, sådan da.
