ASENSIO PSG SNUB

Marco Asensio insists he would dismiss any offer from PSG.

The 21-year-old midfielder has proved to be a revelation at Real Madrid since stepping up to their first-team squad last summer and he has started this season in fine form, netting two spectacular goals in his side's Spanish Super Cup win against Barcelona.

When asked by Spanish newspaper ABC how much money it would take for PSG to prise him away from the Bernabeu, he replied: "Thanks, but no.

"I am in the best place, where I want to be. I will always be grateful to Real Madrid for taking a bet on me."

Vi får brug for Llorente i løbet af sæsonen. Skifter Llorente er vi nede på 21 spillere i truppen (23 med Luca og Hakimi, der dog ser ud til at blive indregistreret på Castilla). Det er en alt for smal trup, hvis vi vil vinde alle tre turneringer i år (fire med VM for Klubhold). Vi har brug for en fuld god erstatning, i tilfælde af, at Casemiro bliver skadet eller får karantæne(r).

BENZEMA TO EXTEND REAL STAY

Real Madrid's Karim Benzema will sign a new two-year contract extension by the end of August, reports Journal du Dimanche.

The Frenchman is in his ninth season for the Bernabeu club and is currently under contract until 2019, with the new contract taking him past his 33rd birthday.

ZIDANE: KOVACIC NOT FOR SALE

AS report this morning that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reiterated the fact Mateo Kovacic is not for sale following a £70m bid from Juventus.

The 23 year-old midfielder has found playing time hard to come by after the emergence of Casemiro, but he excelled in the 5-1 aggregate win over Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup earlier this month and has clearly done enough to keep his place at the Bernabeu for the time being.

€500M ASENSIO CLAUSE

Despite reported interest from Arsenal, Marco Asensio is set to receive a pay-rise when he signs a new contract with Real Madrid, going from €3.5m-a-season to €4.5m after tax, reports Marca.

The new contract will also include a €500m (£458.6m) release clause and will run to 2023.

JUVE’S KOVACIC BID REJECTED

Real Madrid have rejected a big-money offer from Juventus for Mateo Kovacic, reports AS.

Kovacic has been in fine form during pre-season, impressing in both legs of Real Madrid’s 5-1 Spanish Supercopa win over Barcelona.

His performances have not gone unnoticed and AS report long-term admirers Juventus made a bid worth around €75m (£68.8m) for the Croatia midfielder.

However, Real Madrid flatly rejected the offer a few days ago and insist the former Inter Milan man is not for sale.
