GRIEZMANN TO REPLACE NEYMAR?

Should Neymar leave for Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona will target Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann to replace him on the left of their front three, according to Marca.

The Frenchman, who scored 26 goals in all competitions last season, would come at a cost of €100m (£89m).

MURILLO 'AGREES VALENCIA TERMS'

Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo has agreed personal terms with La Liga side Valencia ahead of a move to the Mestalla, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Despite this development, the future of the Colombian is uncertain, with Inter reportedly considering whether to sell the player or not; the Italian paper claims Murillo, 25, is not for sale, whilst Sky Italia believes the player is available on the market for €15 million.

SIMEONE HINTS AT COSTA RETURN

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has hinted at a possible return to the club for Chelsea striker Diego Costa.

The Spain international has been told by Blues boss Antonio Conte that he is not part of his plans for the coming season, with the 28-year-old linked to Atletico and AC Milan.

Simeone's side are currently serving a transfer ban which runs until January but speaking ahead of the pre-season Audi Cup tournament in Germany, the Atletico boss referenced a possible Costa move in the new year before appearing to backtrack slightly.

"All the players want to stay, they want to achieve even better goals and get even better," he said. "Diego Costa? If he comes in January... we can't say anything about that yet. I won't speak about him now. He is a player of Chelsea. We will talk about the boys who are here now, because we have a late start to the season. That is what is important."

COSTA MOVE ON HOLD?

Atletico Madrid’s transfer embargo has put Diego Costa’s proposed Chelsea exit on hold, according to Marca.

Atleti cannot register players until January and are understood to be in no rush to complete the move, with reports claiming they are willing to wait until Deadline Day.

Costa is not prepared to sit and wait in London though, with Marca claiming he could instruct his agent, Jorge Mendes, to find him alternative club.
